If something isn’t working or you have a question, write to info@jlcreativestudio.es. It helps a lot if you tell us which device you use, your iOS or iPadOS version and, if it’s about a specific level, its number.
How do I play?
Every board is split into colour zones. You need to place one Gomi in every row, every column and every zone, and two Gomis can never touch, not even diagonally.
- One tap crosses out a cell with a licorice cross. Another tap removes it.
- Two taps on the same cell place a Gomi. If your double taps don’t always register, you can adjust the double-tap speed in Settings.
- Dragging your finger crosses out every cell it passes over.
The first time you play, a tutorial guides you step by step.
I’m stuck. How do hints work?
Tap the hint button. First it tells you if you’ve crossed out a cell where a Gomi does go; otherwise it shows you the next deduction: which row, column or zone to look at, and why. Hints are unlimited. If you use any, that level gives you one star less.
Do any levels need guessing?
No. Every board has a single solution and can be solved with logic alone. If you think a level can’t be solved without guessing, email us its number and we’ll check it.
What happens if I lose my lives?
You have three lives per board and lose one when you place a Gomi where it doesn’t go. If they run out, you try the level again and get them back. Every so often there’s a one-life challenge. There are never paid lives or waits.
How does the daily challenge work?
There’s a new board every day, chosen from the date on your iPhone or iPad. It starts smaller on Monday and grows towards the weekend. Solve it on consecutive days and your streak grows; if you miss a day, one of your two shields protects it.
Where is my progress saved?
On the device you play on and, if iCloud is on, in your own iCloud account. It isn’t sent to any server of ours and we can’t recover it for you.
Can I play on iPhone and iPad?
Yes. With the same iCloud account, your progress carries over by itself: levels, stars, streak, collection, friends and pets. Gomis Complete is restored on the other device from Settings, without paying again.
What’s free and what is Gomis Complete?
The daily challenge, Worlds 1 and 2 (100 levels with their minigames), the first chapter of the Gomi Sudoku Path, the first 30 Jars, Zen Mode and the seasonal events are free forever. Gomis Complete unlocks the rest with a single payment; there will never be another. What you’ve already cleared never gets locked. To restore the purchase: Settings, Gomis Complete, Restore purchases.
What are Gomi Sudoku, Jars and the Town?
They are the other games on the World Tour planet, which opens when you tap the planet on the home screen. Gomi Sudoku is played with nine gummy flavours that never repeat in a row, column or box, with a Path of 600 levels and practice books. In Jars you send every Gomi back to the jar of its flavour in as few moves as you can, across 1,000 levels. In the Town you stroll with your Gomi, visit your friends’ houses and decorate it with what you win in the daily challenges.
What does the weather widget need?
Your approximate location, and only if you turn it on in Settings, under “Weather in the widget”. It’s rounded to about a kilometre, kept on your device and only used to ask Apple Weather for the forecast. Without permission, the widget shows the season. You can switch it off any time.
How do Game Center and the widget work?
If you sign in to Game Center (from Settings or when you win the daily challenge), your daily challenge times go to the leaderboard and you collect achievements. Add the daily challenge widget from your Home Screen or Lock Screen like any other widget; it shows today’s challenge and your streak.
I can’t tell colours apart well. Can I play?
Yes. Every zone has its own pattern and in Settings you can turn on “Differentiate without colour”, which strengthens the patterns and uses colour-blind-friendly tones. VoiceOver reads the row, column and zone of every cell.
Will there be new levels?
Yes. We’re always adding new levels and games. They arrive with app updates, through the App Store.
Does it need the internet?
No. All the levels live inside the app and the game works offline.
Can I turn off the minigame?
Yes. Every 10 levels there’s a minigame, alternating between Sweet Duo and Reveal. If you’d rather stay on the road, switch it off in Settings.
Which languages is it in?
English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French. Gomis uses your iPhone or iPad’s language.
